Payment Due Dates
All enrolled students are assessed tuition, fees, residence hall charges, and meal plans as applicable prior to the beginning of the semester.
Payment due dates are:
- FALL SEMESTER - August 1
- SPRING SEMESTER - January 5
- SUMMER SEMESTER - May 15
All students are expected to comply with Loyola's billing and payment policy by ensuring that all charges on the student account are covered by any one or a combination of personal payment; anticipated financial aid credits; enrollment in an approved monthly budget plan; full sponsorship by a university approved third party payer; or another arrangement accepted by the university.
Accounts not paid by the posted due date and accounts with a delinquent monthly payment plan will be placed in past due status and students can be subject to removal from enrollment.
Students who register for classes after the dates listed above are expected to make payment in full according to this policy at the time of registration.
- FALL SEMESTER - August 1
- SPRING SEMESTER - January 5
- SUMMER SEMESTER - May 15
You can view your student account balance online through the Student Finance tab in your LORA Self-Service account. From there, you can access the e-Commerce system to make a payment or set up a payment plan.
Please undertake one of the following actions:
- Pay your outstanding balance in full, or
- Set up a payment plan through the e-Commerce system (accessible from the Student Finance tab in LORA Self Service).
Students who have not done one of these by the deadline (see dates listed above) will be automatically dropped from their courses.
The Dean’s Office does not have the ability to adjust balances, create exceptions, offer extensions, or provide emergency funding. All questions about billing and payments must be handled through the Bursar's Office. Questions regarding your financial aid must be handled through the Financial Aid Office.
Unfortunately, there is no guarantee that your original course schedule will still be available. You will need to clear your balance or set up a payment plan before attempting to re-register, and you may have to select different courses depending on availability.
Please note the final date to add courses listed in the Academic Calendar. Some add dates occur before the final payment deadline, so it may be too late to enroll in courses if you wait until the deadline to clear your balance or set up your payment plan.
It could. If you are dropped from your courses, it may impact your financial aid eligibility, progress toward degree completion, and graduation timeline. If you have concerns, please contact Student Financial Services or your academic advisor right away.
We strongly recommend enrolling in a monthly payment plan by the tuition payment deadline through the Bursar’s Office. We can also check to see if there is any additional financial aid available to you. Acting early is key to keeping your options open.
If you are expecting aid that has not yet been applied to your account, please note your aid should show as anticipated. You will need to pay or sign up for a payment plan for the difference.
This payment policy has been in place for many years, and acknowledgement of the policy is required in order to register for classes every semester.
Loyola has always had a formal billing and payment policy. Enforcing this policy ensures students stay on track and prevents unexpected financial hardship down the line.
No. However, students with an unpaid balance will not receive their diploma until their balance is paid.
